event: Shonen Knife, Petty Morals, Saralee at The Middle East Upstairs 09.22.14

hi everyone!
yesterday i spent the day in Cambridge and went to a concert later on that night (which is how this post came to be). i was so so incredibly lucky - tickets had been sold out for weeks and i had come to terms with the fact i wouldn't be going. however, the afternoon before the show, someone replied to my WTB post for tickets in the Facebook event, and i happened to be online at the time!

12 common reactions while creating a lolita coordinate

hey everyone!
last night i was lucky enough to find tickets to a long-sold out show i had been wanting to go to.
i had wanted to wear lolita to this concert, so i quickly took to my room to plan out my coordinate -- and i started to think of all the silly things that come to mind while deciding on what to wear for an event.

what goes through your mind when you start to piece together a coordinate?

Veggie Galaxy review and Boston Swap Meet~

yesterday i attended the community swap meet at the Boston Public Garden. it was a perfect autumn day - not too hot or too cold; quite suitable for wearing lolita! i was really unsure of what my outfit would be, but i decided to wear Loyal Rosette out for the first time.

lolita travel: 29 things you might be forgetting for Rufflecon 2014

with Rufflecon only 29 (!) days away, many lolitas are scrambling to get their coordinates, suitcases, travel itineraries, and schedules together - myself included. i have traveled a handful of times with my lolita wardrobe, but i have never prepared for a full weekend convention dedicated to lolita and alternative fashion (the closest was Katsucon this year, with 4 lolita coords and 1 cosplay)!

i've put together some tips that have helped me while preparing for a vacation, a convention, or an event they are grouped together below. enjoy!

trips & adventures: Faneuil Hall and In the Name of the Moon

hi everyone!

i am very lucky that i can wear lolita to work - i don't do it often, but it is very helpful that it falls into dress code. i keep it simple and toned down, but even still, my coworkers and customers are generally very positive and think the fashion is very cute! for that i am very lucky as well. it is especially helpful that it is so well received for a day like this past Saturday, where i attended a meetup after i finished work.
